What the f*ck is going on…
After the Tea app went viral for letting women anonymously share stories and warnings about men, a bunch of men online absolutely lost it. The app wasn’t created to ruin anyone’s life — it was built so women could protect each other from guys who lie, cheat, ghost, manipulate, abuse, or do the kind of damage that stays with you for years. And the moment women finally had a tool to connect the dots, to say “Hey, this guy did the same thing to me,” men got defensive. They couldn’t handle it — some even started threatening lawsuits.
And instead of asking themselves why so many women might have similar bad experiences with the same men, a lot of guys did what they always do when they feel exposed — they couldn’t handle the truth, so they took it out on women. But this time, they took it a step further.
Across platforms like Reddit, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube, men started posting about how they should make a version of Tea — but for women. Not to keep men safe. But to log women’s body counts. To track how many people a woman has slept with. Some even said men should be able to rate women, flag them as “damaged,” and warn others not to date them if they’ve had “too many” partners.
